LaunchLater is an open source software project that I started work on in May of 2010 in an effort to reduce the time and effort required to boot my Windows-based computers. It allows you to defer the automatic execution of apps that start with Windows.
It’s scope is slowly creeping past this initial intent and should eventually do some amazing things, such as let the user run a batch of processes simultaneously, switch between groups of running applications, and create profiles for determining which apps load while connected to various wireless networks. This last feature would let your system load a different set of startup apps automatically simply based on logging onto your laptop at work, at home, or in a classroom.
It’s home is at http://launchlater.codeplex.com.
Please feel free to download it, use it, improve it, or even hate it.
Stay tuned for more!
